Manufacturer Description |
The 3BR Powersports Do-It-Yourself BARYL Pigtail Plug Kit converts most common electronic device power cables into a weather-proof BARYL plug.
BARYL Socket System Details:
You wouldn’t put a log chain leash on a Chihuahua, so why use a 15A socket for a 1A GPS or communication system? At 7.5A max, the BARYL socket can handle all of the audio, communication, and navigation accessories that a rider may need without the cost and bulk of the typical cigarette style or DIN/ISO 4165 (BMW) socket. And, who has room for several cigarette-style sockets for their multiple accessories? The BARYL socket is sized so you can mount as many as you need!
Splash Proof - While other power ports claim to be waterproof or splash proof, this is only true when they are not being used! As soon as you remove or open the protective cap their environmental protection is gone. The BARYL Socket is always environmentally protected to International Protection level IP64. When in use, the mating BARYL Plug fits tightly over the BARYL Socket to provide protection against rain, dust, water wash down and snow. When not in use, a protective cap, conveniently tethered to the cable, provides the same environmental protection. The BARYL socket is truly weather-proof!
Rugged - The BARYL power port is designed to meet the rigors of the rough use and abuse of power-sports vehicles. The high tech material used for the socket covering and protective cap is perfectly suited for outdoor vehicle use. It has the ability to withstand extreme heat and cold, UV, ozone, grease and oil.
The extra thick polyurethane cable jacket is co-extruded over AWG 20 UL 1015 wire. It is tough enough to be routed anywhere on a powersports vehicle as long as it doesn’t directly touch hot engine or exhaust parts. Its abrasion resistant jacket is as at home under the hood of a snowmobile as it is along the frame rail of an ATV.
