First rumored in November of 2009, Dual's XGPS300 GPS-cradle is set to be released Q1 2010. This new cradle adapter for the iPod Touch is designed to add GPS to allow navigation aid. Priced at USD$179.99, a large price to pay for GPS ability on your iPod Touch.

Along with the GPS receiver the XGPS300 inlcudes an integrated rechargeable battery and built-in speaker, with line-out and microUSB ports. Dual has also equipped the casing with and adjustable suction-cup mount, to ensure ease of use.

Using map data compiled by NAVTEQ, Dual wil be supplying the a custom release of NavAtlas through the Apple App Store. This software package will include points of interest (POI), turn-by-turn directions for all of Canada and the US. The benefit of this open-source platform is that the user will not be limited to NavAtlas, other applications should be able to interact with the sleeve.
