 On May 11, 2010 Garmin International released a service bulletin regarding incorrectly drawn areas of marine charts. Certain Garmin chartplotters may incorrectly or incompletely draw areas of marine charts in a way that makes land or shallow water appear to be navigable water. This issue applies only to specific software versions. In order to view your chartplotter's software version - from the Home screen, select Configure > System > System Information. Below are lists of the affected software versions and the corresponding products.
