GPS City (www.gpscity.ca) is happy to announce the expansion of the Navteq Traffic Coverage in Canada. Currently the coverage includes Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Hamilton and Ottawa. The existing coverage provides traffic updates to 40% of Canada's population, with the addition of 3 more cities the coverage will increase to 50% of Canada's population. Traffic will be available soon in Quebec City, Calgary, and Edmonton. GPS City offers select units with a lifetime subscription to traffic updates included. One of the key benefits of traffic is the ability to avoid congested areas and accidents on the desired route. Many of the GPS units offer the traffic option as an additional accessory, to activate this service you would need to purchase a new cigarette lighter adapter which includes the traffic receiver.
