Garmin has designed a compatibility chart for decoding which bluetooth cellphones are compatible with their GPS units. Some phones allow full connectivity, allowing the phonebook contacts to be transferred to the GPS's memory as well as hands-free dialing. One very beneficial feature are POI (Points of Interest) Dialing, where the caller can choose a POI, such as a restaurant, hotel or attraction and call to make reservations or find our operating hours. Last Dialed, Last Recieved and Missed Call Menus allow the user to easily navigate through their recent call lists on the large screen of the GPS. Few and far between are the phones able to transmit text message data, but those that do showcase the full hands-free experience. To check the compatibility of your phone and Garmin GPS, go to www.garmin.com -> Phone Compatibility List.
