Garmin AT, a unit of Garmin Ltd, has announced their plans to build a new technical support center in Salem Oregon. Completion of this new division is slated for January 2011, and will house up to 200 employees. The new location is designed to supplement Garmin's existing customer service center, which is already highly rated by their consumers. “This new facility will greatly expand our ability to interact with our customers who need to resolve technical issues or have questions about our products,” said Gloria Sukraw, Garmin AT’s General Manager. “Not only will more associates be available to address support issues, but because we’re located in the Pacific Time Zone, our technical support line will stay open two hours longer.”
