The GPS Scavenger Hunt - Toronto, offers the opportunity to participate in the outdoor sport of geocaching, win prizes, and raise money for prostate cancer research through the Movember Foundation of Canada.
In order to compete in the contest, you will need to purchase the novel "Songs of Submission”, either online at Amazon.com (e-book US$7.99), at Book City locations in Toronto (paperback edition), or at the start location (paperback edition).
Content from the novel will be referenced in scavenger hunt questions that can be answered on www.songsofsubmission.com. When the questions are answered correctly, the GPS coordinates of containers hidden around Toronto will be available for all to see and the true hunt begins. Participants will need to use a GPS receiver or a GPS app on their smartphone to locate the containers, with the grand prize being an iPad along with an equivalent cash donation in the winner’s name to Movember Canada.
Interested but unable to come to Toronto? A grand prize of an iPod nano will also be available for the participant that answers the most questions correctly on the website. All you need is the novel to play.
