Here are some tips on protecting your GPS unit from theft:
1. Always remove electronics from your vehicle, including, but not limited to, GPS, MP3 players, cell phones and satellite radios.
2. Try to mount your GPS on the dash board, instead of on the window with a suction cup. Thieves will notice the suction cup and break in looking for what attaches to it.
3. Park in a well lit area, so a neighbor or a passersby is able to see if anyone suspicious is near your vehicle.
4. Don't keep coins and change lying in the open, as thefts can occur for what seems like petty amounts.
If you are looking for a way to mount your electronics on the dashboard, GPS City has many options available. Check out GPS City's universal dash mount or find a compatible RAM mount from our large collection.
