Ron loves to travel and wherever he travels, he brings along his GPS. He can usually be found on the open road, riding his motorcycle with his GPS of choice: the Zumo 550. Designed by bikers for bikers, Garmin's Zumo 550 has preloaded maps and high-end navigation with a sunlight-readable display. In today's Friday Feature, Ron describes how he persuaded his friends to live by his motto, "GPS: don't leave home without it." A few years ago, Ron and a group of friends went on a motorcycle trip. Ron explains, "During one of our trips last year we had been traveling together on bikes for about 2 weeks. As we stopped in each town, I'd get asked, "What is there to eat?". I'd check the GPS, read out the list of options, and we'd pick a place. At the end of the day we'd stop at the edge of town, and I'd read off the list of hotels and motels in the area, and we'd pick a place. After 2 weeks my wife and I went one way, and the rest of the group went another. When I saw them again a week later, their tune had changed. Apparently they had come to depend on my GPS as much as I do! I guess having to find a restaurant or hotel the "old fashioned way" (driving around in circles) isn't all it's cracked up to be."
