Today, Garmin announced three new models for their popular outdoor eTrex series: the eTrex 10, 20 and 30. The redesigned eTrex offers an improved 2.2 inch display, worldwide basemap, spine mounted accessories and a battery life of 25 hours. The eTrex 10 is the base model with a monochrome display geared at the budget savvy consumer. The eTrex 20 and eTrex 30 offer a color sunlight readable display, worldwide basemap with shaded relief and an expanded internal memory. Along with all the same features as the eTrex 10 and eTrex 20, the eTrex 30 has an electronic compass, barometric altimeter and wireless connectivity to compatible units. The eTrex 10, 20 and 30 are ideal for hiking, camping and geocaching. Hiking enthusiasts will benefit from the worldwide basemap while campers can access multiple mapping options for roads, trails and waterways. Lastly, the updated eTrex offers paperless geocaching so geocachers can track their caches, waypoints, tracks and routes on the handheld. Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales, explains, “The eTrex has been a staple within our handheld GPS lineup for over 10 years and has been a favorite among hikers, hunters and geocachers who want the basics; simple, compact, lightweight and accurate. Using our industry leading experience and innovative technology, we designed the new eTrex to stand up against whatever Mother Nature throws at it." |
