This weekend, July 22-24, Medicine Hat, Alberta is hosting the SAW 2 geocaching event. The event will begin at 7:00pm on Friday. Caches will be divided into six categories: best micro cache, best small cache, best regular cache, best large cache, cache in a place with the best view and best cache in plain view. Prizes will awarded to the winner of the most votes per category. DETAILS: Hide: Participants can hide their caches as usual. Each cache must be registered via email and contain CARMH2 at the end of its name. Find: Participants can begin searching for caches at 7:00pm on Friday, July 22, following the SAW2 Welcome event. At the welcome event, participants will receive a list of all hidden caches. Vote: Voting is based on creativity. There will be 24 hours to cache before the vote. All participants should bring their voting sheets with them to the wrap event at Echo Dale Historic Farm, Saturday, July 23 at 7:00pm. Rules: All caches must be hidden within Medicine Hat and Redcliff. The caches will remain permanently after the event. Barbecue: After the event wraps, a barbecue will be held. To participate, a $5 fee will be charged for food (burger, chips and drink). Prizes: Geocaching swag, including items donated by GPS City. |
