 Garmin's v2.0 NAVIGON iPhone app offers the opportunity to download maps for offline access. With the NAVIGON app, users also have access to map updates every quarter. Users will now be able to download specific states (when in the United States) or countries (when outside of the United States). These maps will be available without accessing WiFi or 3/4G signals, saving users money and time. Another benefit to v2.0 is the streamlined update process. Now, minor app changes are updated as opposed to the previous procedure of reloading the full application for users to get the latest version. Users already running the original NAVIGON app will be allowed to update at no charge, while new users can download version 2.0 for $39.99 from iTunes.
