 If you own a Garmin nuvi, you are now able to customize your vehicle icon for free, thanks to the Vehicles for Garmin nuvi website. The website offers a variety of icons ranging from traditional vehicles (Classic Cars, Race Cars, Aircraft, and Off Road) to more unusual options (TV character Homer Simpson, an A&W Root Beer can, and a moonwalking skeleton). Before downloading the vehicle icons, you will need to install the Garmin Communicator from Garmin. After installation, connect your Garmin to the computer. Next, go to the Vehicles for Garmin nuvi webpage and choose your desired category from the lists displayed on either side of the nuvi screen. Select an icon from the scrolling list at the bottom of the screen. The image you pick will show up on the example screen, allowing you to test the icon at night and with a different background color. After choosing your icon, click on the Download button on the screen. A dialog box will appear asking to Save the File. Once you click OK, the icon is yours. You can repeat this procedure as many times as you wish, selecting icons for all of your driving personalities.
