Nike's newest fitness device, the Nike+ FuelBand, is one of the most intuitive wrist accessories in recent years. Incredibly slim and sleek, the new FuelBand tracks calories, counts steps, and displays time. When paired with the iPhone app, the FuelBand can provide motivation by allowing the user to compete with themselves or by comparing data with friends. Users can easily set a Daily Goal that can be adjusted as the days and weeks pass. Throughout the day, the FuelBand LED indicators will light up from red to green to let users know if they are close to achieving their goal. When green is achieved, the Daily Goal has been met. The Nike+ FuelBand follows the release of the Garmin's ANT+ adapter for the iPhone in November 2011. The adapter also allows athletes to track, analyze, and archive their workout data. Additionally, users can share their data on Garmin Connect, a community-based tracking and training website hosted by Garmin. Currently, the release date of the Nike+ FuelBand is set for February 22, 2012 for a price of USD$149. With the popularity of the Nike brand name, the fitness accessory is expected be a hot seller. |
