Garmin announces the new Swim fitness device just in time for the U.S Masters Swimming Championships in Omaha, Nebraska July 5-8, 2012. Garmin will be on site at this event displaying their latest creation and demonstrating its abilities. The Garmin Swim will work efficiently with Garmin Connect, the online fitness data management tool. Swimmers will be able to track their progress and set up personal goals for both outdoor and pool training. Garmin has recently made great strides (or strokes?) in their fitness lineup, including the addition of their other swimmer-friendly wrist-worn training aid, the Forerunner 910XT. Whereas the 910XT is geared towards triatheletes with its GPS and additional run/bike modes, the Swim will focus mainly on the athlete that prefers to spend more time training in the pool. |
