 Congratulations are in order for fishing electronics pioneer Darrell Lowrance. The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Board of Directors recently announced him and two others as inductees into the 2013 Bass Fishing Hall of Fame. The event is to take place on February 24, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Darrell Lowrance is well known for the "Little Green Box" released in 1959. Soon after, his company crafted many more innovative fishing devices including the first sonars capable of high-speed performance, the first graph recorder and the first integrated sonar/GPS unit. Joining Lowrance in receiving the industries highest honor will be Mike Folkestad and Jack Wingate. Mike Folkestad is a champion fisher for Orange, California. Jack Wingate is known for his dedication to the education of bass fishing. Well done, Guys! |
