Navionics is prepared for the winter months with their new Apple-based Ski App. This new interactive application is available on iTunes, and allows users to access maps of ski resorts, record runs down the hill with photos and then share on social media outlets like Facebook or Twitter. Snow and weather reports are available for hundreds of popular resorts worldwide; 493 in Canada and the US, over 1500 in Europe and 143 in Australasia. Preplan with trail reviews, lift information or check out the ski schools in the area. Using GPS technology search for a ski hill by name and the location will pop up on a map showing the distance from your current position. Track the speed and distance of each run and then playback or share the data with friends and family. Geotag the amazing vistas or half-pipe tricks and upload those images to your favorite social site.
