 As we near the end of another amazing year in geocaching, we get closer to Geocoinfest 2012. This MEGA Event will be hosted on Saturday, October 6 in beautiful Parker, Colorado. Kicking off on Friday, October 5, the "Fire A Laser" get-together is a fun affair to see how laser engraving machines work. Following this learning session will be a welcome reception held at the hosting hotel. Leading into Saturday's main event will consist of several education sessions about geocaching. It will also host a silent auction, raffle drawings, and kids' activities before wrapping up. Following the main event, attendees are encouraged to participate in the Geocoin Poker tournament, as well as a meet and greet gathering, door prize raffles and a geocoin trading session. Lastly, on Sunday morning attendees can break out into adventure groups based on difficultly level and close out with a group lunch. Even as we move closer to the end of the season, geocaching is always an activity that can be done year-round. Be sure to keep active as we get ready for 2013.
