The GPS Buzz

In the past few weeks, rumors have spread over forums and blogs about a new Garmin Edge unit hitting the market soon. Although much of this is speculation, it's likely that Garmin is engineering the next model in bike GPS. Several names for the device has been mentioned, but seems that the unit will likely be named Edge 900 or Edge 800S. Since there was a lack of public information shared at Eurobike or even when GPS City attended Interbike this year, we assume the release to be sometime in 2013.

Several forum discussions had consumers expressing their feelings on the new model. Some people asked for them to leave the Edge 800 alone. However, others said only minor changes were necessary like connectivity with other mobile devices or real-time rankings. We will keep everyone in the loop on information as it is received!
