While feedback has been extremely positive from site users, there have been warnings from the authorities regarding safety and abuse of the service. Of the 3 million Okcupid users, over 1 million have enabled their GPS location using their smartphones. This leads us to believe that while there are some that would take advantage of this feature, the majority are using it as intended. They are building meaningful friendships and relationships with those in their community.
