 If you thought you were the biggest geocaching fan, think again. Ontario is the world's first location to approve geocaching license plates. Displaying the familiar Geocaching logo, the plate wiill consist of a unique "GC" number. After much talk of having license plates at various events and exhibits, one dedicated geocacher took the talk to the next level by working with the governement and geocaching.com. Once the cacher was able to get the required minimum of 200 people to agree to pay a fee and own the license plates, the first set was shipped. He presented Geocaching.com with their own license plate at the Geocaching Block Party event. Geocaching.com has suggested some tips in order to work with your local government office to have license plates made for your area. - Make sure you understand all the requirements for your offical agency.

- Early on, agree on a foolproof way to allocate license plate numbers within your group.
- Create an easy way for group members to communicate with one another.
