It coldn't be better timing for the GPS giant: Garmin finalizes a partnership with the UKC in recent weeks. With the release of their newly launched BarkLimiter, Garmin has shown a growing interest in the development of pet technology. They will now be displayed as a major sponsor of UKC's biggest events including the Winter Classic, Autumn Oaks and Hunting Beagle World Championship. The United Kennel Club is the leading registry of dogs and present in most countries. UKC has een offering competitions, tests, training and educational events for over 100 years. Tri-Tronics had been a major sponsor to the UKC events with their innovative dog collars. After Garmin had purchased the company, many questioned whether the technology would be present at the events. Garmin now confirms that they are strongly interested in the pet field and have decided to continue the sponsorship as well as expressed continued development of the pet collars. |
