Rich Bettencourt was so kind as to share his RAM mounting experience with us, now we're sharing it with you! He set up a RAM-HOL-AP14U iPad mini cradle in his 55 C-180 Cessna. Rich decided to fabricate his own yoke mount base, connecting the base using the AMPS hole pattern on the back of the RAM cradle. The reason for the modification to the standard yoke mount was that the radios are situated in the lower panel on this model of airplane, unlike the newer models of the 55 series Cessna which have them in the center stack. This iPad mini cradle would work also well in one of the new 55 model planes with the RAM yoke mount RAM-B-121BU.
