GOOD HARDWARE - SOFTWARE NEEDS WORK
Pros: light, rugged and works well
Cons: software - needs more functionality
Camera itself is great, easy to use, quick GPS lock and great video quality. Storyteller sofware that it comes wiht needs a lot of work, it has very minimal functionality with the GPS. It would be nice if you could add your own map data or create a local video file that shows the positioning wihtout having to upload to Contours website. This really diminishes the value of the software, I have started to use Dashware instead, far better software but still not exactly what I want. I am in the process of trying to build my own program at this point. I would like to create a presentation showing both the positioning in a map and the video, why else would you get the GPS add on if the software can't do that easily.

GREAT QUALITY SO FAR FOR BIKING
Pros: image quality, construction quality, options rec
Cons: bundled software and size of sd card bundled (2gb)
I just received my Contour GPS a couple of days ago. My usecase is I want to document biking in Ottawa. So I setup a website http://www.bikeview.ca and am starting to post videos. I'm not a fan of the Contour Storyteller application so far and am instead using iMovie to create my edited videos. Image quality is so far excellent and I haven't even used the higher quality modes. I have the handlebar mount and it's nice but no quick release really. The LED alignment lights sound gimmicky but are actually very useful to level once I attach the camera to my bike.
Recommend? YES
