A Note About Compatibility with Other DeLorme Software
Street Atlas USA 2005 Handheld includes complete street-level map coverage of the entire U.S. If desired, you can also access maps for use from these other DeLorme desktop applications: Topo USA 5.0 and Street Atlas USA 2005 and 2004 (but not previous versions of Street Atlas USA, including versions 9.0 and earlier, Street Atlas USA Deluxe, or Street Atlas USA Road Warrior Edition).

• More powerful, self-contained, and easy to use Handheld Export tab
• Improved Find mechanism-select and export a region with just the press of a button
• Two different levels of map detail-select street-level or regional-level maps
• View the default export area for a particular location-use the • Preview button to view the default export area and then click the • Select button to confirm your selection.
• Adjusted and improved GPS positional accuracy of highways and major roads in Canada
• Customize your exported map with the Edit tool-add or remove parts of the export area as necessary

Improvements to PDA applications
Improvements to both Palm and Pocket PC:
• Raster map support-Topo USA 5.0 users can export Aerial Data Packets to Street Atlas USA 2005 Handheld for viewing satellite map data on a PDA
• Route stops are now better preserved-not used only in route calculation
• Ability to reverse the direction of a route
• Automatically get ''back-on-track'' when tracking with GPS-if you venture off of your route, the program will notify you and prompt you to recalculate your route from your current location
• Use a contact (on Pocket PC) or Address Book entry (on Palm) as a tracking target and/or route start/stop/finish
• View the previous map, similar to that on the desktop
• View the map with high-contrast map colors for better viewing in bright conditions
• More waypoint display options-select to view your waypoints in one of eight symbol styles and colors
• Three new Find search methods to help you find map features quicker than ever
• An in-program Getting Started guide which introduces several functions of the program
Improvements to Palm only:
• Voice prompts have been added and are available for Palm users running Palm OS 5.2 or higher
• Added support for the dynamic input areas of most newer and higher-end Palm OS 5 devices (ability to hide the Graffiti area, permitting more application display space or even landscape screen orientations)
• Looking ahead: Street Atlas USA 2005 Handheld will support the new, Palm OS 6.0 and the 1_-density devices when they are available
• Added support for the Treo 600 (a third party cable is required at an additional cost) and support for the integrated GPS on the Garmin iQue 3600.
Improvements to Pocket PC only:
• Now supports Windows Mobile 2003/Pocket PC 2003 Professional, Premium, and Second Editions (includes support for the rotation/landscape modes of Second Edition)

The Delorme software CANNOT be downloaded into any of the Garmin, Magellan or Lowrance GPS units. The software is designed to run on a PC or handheld PDA as a stand-a-lone program or with a GPS unit connected to feed GPS data to the software to display real time tracking.
