PLATES FOR SUCTION CUP
Pros: the plates are thick and heavy duty. Cons: sticky pads really sucks.
The plates themselves are great but the sticky pad was pass due and there was no way to permanently glued it to the dash board.
I had to buy 3M sticky pads at the hardware store to make the job properly.

PLATE FOR SUCTION CUPS
The plate does not stick to my dash. I bought a 2005 Lexus 330 and I cannot get the suction plate to stick to the dash. Any suggestions? I followed the directions property. I had an older Lexus and it worked fine.

NOT FLEXIBLE
Cons: needs a flat surface to stick to.
This item consists of two adhesive discs and two plates. (I only needed the adhesive disc.) The adhesive discs are cut from thin plastic sheet with adhesive both sides. The original Garmin disc was made from a relatively thick foam, and so could compensate for a dash that was not perfectly flat. Also, the adhesive did not stick to my dash, but that could have been due to some polish applied by a previous owner

DON'T STAY STUCK! VERY TEMPORARY
The mount, which is similar to the one that is supplied by Garmin, comes with no instructions, and is also different in that the double sided adhesive patch comes separately (the Garmin original is already attached to the plate). And therein lies the problem....The patch sticks fine to the dash board, and also stuck fine to the plate...but only for a day. The adhesion to the plate does not seem to work. It appears that maybe due to the design of the plate, or bad adhesive, it does not stay stuck to the plate (and I can't get if off the dash) - I have tried sticking it back, and have had the GPS fall off every time while driving. I would not reccomend this product
