SPEED SENSOR

Cons: cable way too short, and i only have a 16' boat. n

Purchased Garmin Echo300 fishfinder and this was the recommended speed sensor by GPSCity - they didn't tell me I needed an adapter to get it to work with my fishfinder, and Garmin doesn't have the adapter available yet. I found out later Garmin makes another speed sensor that plugs directly in to this unit. The Cable is also WAY too short - and I only have a 16ft boat.

UNCOMPATIBILITY TO ECHO 550C

Do not waste your money as I did. Do not buy it. It does not fit to Echo 550C. But listed on recommended accessory. I sugest to GPScity to remove it from list.

TRANSDUCER CABLE WAY TOO SHORT

Pros: none
Cons: cable too short

This transducer cable is engineered WAY too short. It wouldn't even reach the dash of a mere 16' boat. I had to send it back and, as of this writing, I can't get a speed sensor cable for my new Garmin echo 300c fish finder. Garmin seems to be having a problem getting their new speed sensor cables on the market as I've been waiting all summer for on and finally gave up. Hopefully the new speed sensor cable will be long enough, if they ever get it on the market. I think Garmin is doing a very poor job in this respect and, if I could do it over again I wouldn't have purchased their fiih finder.
