GARMIN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND CITY NAVIGATOR NT
Pros: easy install
Cons: would have preferred purchasing current version
I was disappointed that the 2011 version was already out when I purchased 2010 version. I questioned them when I purchased it if it was the latest version and was told they could not tell. That said I used this on garmin nuvi 770 in Darwin and Sydney Australia. It always got to the correct location, however talking to the locals there were often better routes that the one the garmin computed. There are some broken links in street network that can sometimes cause bad routing.

OK FOR STREETS, POOR FOR POI. USE FREE MAPS.
Pros: mapping for aussie
Cons: expexpensive & only worthwhile for aussie maps.
The POI database is pathetic.
I recommend the free NZ Open GPS Project maps. These are updated weekly. All of NZ is about 37MB. Works on all Garmin mapping units (not the latest marine units thought which use g2 only). POI are a publicly edited database and number over 90,000 at present.

POOR NEW ZEALAND MAPPING
Cons: clueless about routes.
It has major mistakes in New Zealand maaping and routing. Suddenly the route takes you off a motorway and down a back road then back onto the main road. Entire streets are missing and non exsitent ones are in. Once it wanted to take us down a steep set on stairs on a pedestrian foot path. I am looking for a better set of maps for New Zealand and may buy TomTom to get it.

Pros: found nearly 100% of destinations
Cons: some directions of routes were confusing
Good product overall. Map directions a little spotty in the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Directions often had routes that would take you off the main roads adding time and unnecessary miles to the destination. Finding the international airport in Auckland was a chore and was not listed clearly in the airports/transportation menus.

Pros: quality
Cons: price
Garmin maps are very good quality. I upgraded the software on my Garmin 60Csx to accomodate a 4gb micro SD card. This software fit completely on that card with lots of room to spare. GPSCity.com had a very good but garmin maps are expensive. Sometimes it feels like I'm being held hostage by Garmin and I have to keep paying high prices for their maps.
