GARMIN GPSMAP76CSX IN A JEEP
Pros: easy install. performs perfectly.
Cons: none
I wanted to hard wire a power cable for my GPSMap76Csx to the wiring harness in my TJ. The Bare Wire Power and Data cable made this easy. Now I don't have to worry about the 12 volt adaptor coming loose in the cigarette ligter any more.

GARMIN POWER CORD
Pros: secure fit, good instructions, easy installation
Cons: none
Product is great for dual-sport motorcycle. Far more secure power connection than USB port on 60CSx. I hard wired it to an auxiliary fuse box.

MOTORCYLE APPLICATION
Pros: worked as required
This little badboy worked great for powering my GPSMap 60CSx on my Motorcycle. I just wired it up to my marine grade cigarette plug for consistant weatherproof performance. PS don't stick your tounge in a 12V recepticle.

GREAT CABLE
Pros: fits snugly into thegps
This cable is a great way to go with a GPS on a motorcycle. It hasnt lost connection yet when out in the back country

TRèS BON CABLE
Pros: je le recommande
Je l'utilise avec un GPS 60CX sur une motoneige et cela fonctionne très bien,car ce fil est relié directement sur la batterie.J'ai essayé celui qui se branche dans l'allume cigarette(lighter)et il y a trop de vibrations je perdais le courant.

POWER AND DATA CABLE
Cons: i had to cut and solder the item to suit my needs.
Item was exactly as advertised and was easily modified to suit my needs. I just needed something to connect directly to the battery on my dual sport motorcycle. A two wire system, positive and ground, terminating in a standard 12 volt plug plug would have been preferable but after some cutting and soldering this worked fine.
Recommend? YES

OK CABLE
Pros: easy to use
Cons: more than what i needed
This will work for what i need but the wires are a little thin for my application. They could have made a set with thicker guage wire and no data transfer cables. All i needed was a Power wire and ground wire for the hardwiring on my Dualsport Motorcycle.

MOUNT & SERVICE
i shopped around for this mount and a separate power wire. express mount & one other supplier were the only company that had both. Express Mounts was about 25% cheaper in addition the shipping charge was at least 50% cheaper. Customer service, sales service and shipping were all excellent.

BARE WIRE CABLE FOR 400C DOESN'T WORK!
The Bare Wire Cable that was identified by Garmin as an accessory for the Colorado 400C does NOT work with the 400C. Supposedly the cable will allow you to use the NEMA input/output, however, the GPS stops generating data when you plug the mini-USB into the port on the 400C. This port is only for downloading software updates or data from the Garmin MAPSOURCE program which also a near useless piece of software.

Works great, although I will be swapping the spring fuse for a blade type (more vibration proof). Would be nice it wire gauge was a little thicker.

POWER/DATA CABLE WORKS GREAT
This cable allows me to externally power the GPS unit while at the same time outputting serial NMEA or TEXT data. You do have to hardwire a DB9 serial connector, but that was easy enough with a soldering gun and a Radio Shack D-Sub connector (P/N 276-1538). Have a nice day.
