GARMIN MEXICO MAPS
Pros: seems to show major highways Cons: virtually no poi's in norther baja
I traveled to San Felipe. Only the major highways are routable. The closest POI's were over the border in the US. I didn't think this was right so I contacted Garmin support. They insisted that my copy was right. There are no POI's in San Felipe. I passes an area in Mexicali that obviously had many roads and the Garmin map was blank. I think I wasted my money.

NOT AS DETAILED AS I WAS HOPING FOR
Pros: works and integrates seamlessly with other garmin Cons: street level detail not very good in some places
Unfortunately I can't say that I am very happy with this Garmin product (I purchased both the CD and the SD memory card to use with both my 60CSx and my Nuvi 270). It works okay as far as routing along the major highways is concerned, but the street level detail in cities such as San Carlos, Sonora and Loreto, Baja California is really lacking (i.e. non-existent). Somewhat surprisingly though the detail is very, very good in tiny Bahia Kino, Sonora so go figure I guess.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM GARMIN
I used this on a recent trip to Puerto Vallarta. Many newer streets (8 years new) were not on the map. Only a few POI's existed for a city with hundreds, if not thousands, of attractions. My track was often shown running several hundred yards off the highway.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
Pros: none Cons: difficult to have product unlock
I received this product just prior to my holidays in Mexico. I followed the instrustions on the CD cover for installation into my nuvi 770. The instructions were very straight but the unlocking process is not. After entering the required pin, the software responded with a message that the code has already been consumed. The installation did not happen. Left on my trip without the use of a GSP. Tried to email customer support but after 4 days of back and forth emails there was no resolution. Calling customer service had a 35 minute wait time and from Mexico was rather expensive. So we bought a good map. Maybe the product would be ok if it actually could be installed. Customer service is a waste of time. No one will take responsibilty for a defective product. After two trials with new codes provided by customer service and no resolution, I have given up. You win GARMIN, so I have an expensive coaster.

OUT OF DATE CD
Pros: cd updates old versions simply Cons: not the latest roads and poi's
Product CD MexicoNT sold by GPSCity was out of date by several months. After contacting Garmin, they verified it was old stock, even though it was the 2010 verstion. To get latest updates, only download from Garmin. Store stocks of CD's can be obsoleted quickly !
[Ed. note: The problem lies in the fact that Garmin does not mark their software products with any kind of date to indicate how old the software is. We have been arguing this with Garmin from day 1, back in 1996!]

GOOD COVERAGE BUT NEED SOME FIXES
Pros: with 108mb easily fits in the unit built in memory Cons: must be part of the cn north america
It has a decent coverage but poor if you compare against the Bicimapas Mexico Atlas. Obviously as an original Garmin product his database optimizacion size and searching times is the best against any competitor.

BEST STREET MAPPING FOR THE MEXICAN REPUBLIC.
Pros: for the price no complain so far. Cons: to bad garmin do not support this software no more
This is the best map application for the "Mexican Republic". And I say like that because the real name is "La Republica Mexicana" the maps are not only Mexico but many cities in "La Republica Mexicana". I was able, to find addresses in Queretaro, Acapulco, Cuernavaca, Guadalajara, and of course “México D.F.” The actual name is “México Distrito Federal” = "México City". So far I have create, and save many way points ,of and inside, La Republica Mexicana, and then transferred my GPS Garmin 320 where I have also the “SD City Navigator”. This CD it is the companion of the SD because on the CD you can see and find the address much easier with the big display on your computer then saved and play simulation. In general it is excellent software, And the reduce price, make it attractive and affordable to purchase bothe SD and CD.
