Bobbert palm florida Jun 30, 2011	CUT THE END OFF YOUR OLD CABLE Pros: was/is a nice gps for the price even at the time. Cons: $26+ every couple yrs. when it wears out. I have been looking for a replacement cable for my emap but found the price too high for a GPS cable end that was just going to wear out again in two years. So I suggest to users out there you do what I did. Cut the end off your current (shorting out) cable and just connect(solder) the RED wire to the far right side terminal & the BLACK to the far left terminal(as you look at unit from back side)Problem fixed. Guy Grants Pass, OR Oct 23, 2009	GPS PLUG END DOES NOT MATCH PICTURE Cons: weaker plug style. does not match picture. Just received my adapter today and was disappointed that the GPS plug end did not match the picture. Garmin at one time made the adapter which is pictured. The pins are stronger and are spring loaded. The item I received have the bowed ribbon style for the contacts. I had one like this before and they break easy. Have not connect it yet but it should work fine, just have to be careful when I add and remove the plug from the GPS. Recommend? NO OPINION 84 viewers found this helpful.
