REPLACEMENT BAND
gpscity.com was wonderful as we would have ended up with 3 of these if they hadn't called to make sure that is what we intended. so first, thanks gpscity.
The band is great, went on relatively easy. nice to have it my forerunner back on my arm instead of around my neck. well worth the price.

DISAPPOINTED IN DURABILITY

Cons: questionably durability
After 2 weeks the space between the holes broke even though I was more careful due to that being the replaced band's issue.

REPLACEMENT WRIST STRAP
Pros: exact match to orignal
Cons: needs instructions for removing old wrist strap
The name is misleading, as this is a wrist strap, but fortunately that's obvious from the picture.
This was perfect, as the original wrist strap had become stretched, and would not stay closed. This item came with the necessary tool to make replacement easy.
My only criticism is that there were no instructions. It took me a few tries to figure out how to use the tool to remove the old wrist strap.

GARMIN FORERUNNER REPLACEMENT BAND
Pros: easy to change, sturdy, lots of adjustment
The band was extremely easy to change, even though there were no instructions provided. The handy little tool that comes with the band makes removing/replacing the pin that holds the band in place a breeze.
I had my band changed in less than five minutes!

BAND MADE WITH DEFECTIVE MATERIAL

Cons: there is no other strap that fits this garmin!
I purchased a new GPS in 6/2011. In late august, the strap broke where the pin slides through to hold it on to the device. I purchased 2 new replacement bands since if one broke, i wanted a backup. I received the new band around 9/1/2011. On sat 9/24/2011, the strap broke in the exact same place as the one that came on the original garmin after only wearing it 4 times. Fortunately, I purchased the extra band but i never thought i would need it this soon.
Recommend? NO OPINION

The photo you see and all of the parts is exactly what you get. If you don't need to use all of the parts shown, keep them until you do. The tool that is included makes it so easy to replace the band.

This is a very good kit replacement for your arm band!It was very easy to assemble and it now looks and fit like a brand new watch.I have been running again with my new arm band and I had no loosening of the watch.So it is an excellent fit.

Got this as a replacement for the original stock band that got torn up after a year of wear. Does not seem as durable as others, but was hard to find a band to fit the 305.

EXCELLENT SOLUTION FOR REPLACING ARMBAND
Pros: price, convenience, exact armband as original
The armband for my Forerunner 305 broke, and this product comes with several armbands of different sizes to choose from, as well as a tool for getting the armband in, which is a little tricky for any sort of band replacement operation, but it worked. Great price and it's good to have a product like this, which provides the exact same armband as the original product, when the band breaks.

Pros: exactly as advertised
Cons: only needed the shorter strap.
Strap broke on my Garmin 305. This was an identical replacement strap, exactly as described and pictured. Service by GPSCity was great. Like others I wish I could get just the length I needed (in my case, the shorter band) but understand it's probably cheaper this way.

Exact replacement of original strap. Comes with all the pieces including a little tool that makes it very easy to install. A 60 second job. You can time it on your GPS.

GREAT FIT!
This replacement arm band seems to fit even better than the original arm band that came with the Forerunner. Nice comfortable fit. I have a small wrist and the smaller strap is able to hold the Forerunner in place nicely without pinching.

Not much to say, except that you need this little set of replacement arm bands when and if the originals wear out or break on your Garmin 305, as mine did. This set is easy to install--I was done in 60 seconds--and seems slightly tougher than the originals
