NICE FEATURES, NOT SURE ABOUT ACCURACY
I was impressed by how much Garmin includes with their sender even though it is twice the price of the Lowrance unit. The installation and setup was easy, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. While cruising the fuel flow and economy seems to fluctuate quite a bit and never stabilizes even though the load on the engine and throttle position are not varying.
Pros: everything for installation is included
Cons: flow rate does not stabilize
Recommend: NO OPINION

GARMIN FUEL FLOW SENSOR
Works great. Calibration accurate right out of the box.
More steady and accurate than my FloScan.
Neither work well at slow troll speeds.
Recommend: YES

NICE ADDITION TO A GARMIN CHARTPLOTTER.
Nice addition to my Garmin 545s. However, it's ability to track usage while trolling is net to nil so if you spend a lot of time idling, don't count on it's abilities use a FloScan instead.
We use the GFS10 for plotting out when we need to re-fuel on long trips, as the 545s can show "cruising range" based on amount of fuel.
It can tie into your analog fuel gauge, but so far, I haven'nt figured out why or what good it does -- you still have to manually tell the 545 (and others, I assume) how much fuel is in the tanks if you add any. (ie: it doesn't sense the tank is full again)
This is my 2nd unit the 1st got stepped on and broke. Cheap plastic unit needs to be mounted out of the way.
Pros: easy to install, complete, you need nothing extra
Cons: plastic(ie:breakable)
