Manufacturer Description |
The G1000 PC Trainer simulates the behavior of the G1000 system interface and provides you with a safer environment to learn the basic operation of the system. The G1000 PC Trainer operates on Windows® 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista® and Windows 7 platforms only (Mac® operating systems are not supported). Click the Requirements tab for the minimum systems requirements.
Features
- The G1000 PC Trainer version 7.10 and higher versions will include the following improvements: Improved interface with Intel integrated graphics controllers
- Dual computer monitor support
- Dual GDU display — able to display PFD and MFD simultaneously
- Remote Controllers — additional controls such as GMC and GCU will interface with GDUs
- Ability to resize the GDU display(s) and remote controllers
- Garmin GFC 700 AFCS interface — flight modes controlled by Garmin autopilot
- Garmin FliteCharts — allows users to view published approach charts
- Garmin SafeTaxi — allows users to view detailed airport information on the moving map
- Airway interface — allows users to view and insert airways into the flight plan
- Improved interface with simulator flight controls — allows users to use flight controllers such as yoke and rudder peddles
NOTE: Due to the graphic memory intensive nature of the G1000 simulator, it must be the only application running on your PC. In some cases, even though your computer meets the minimum PC requirements, the simulator may not function properly. This is due to the unique configuration of each computer and the extra processes and procedures that are utilized by that computer.
