GOOD, BUT WILL GARMIN CONTINUE SUPPORT?
Pros: use on laptop, handheld for one price Cons: no assurance software will be supported in future
I have enjoyed owning this unit. One small con is the performance when used while walking. I found that the human body seems to interfere with reception. I have to place it about a metre away from me to get a strong signal. My main concern, however, is that the software uses the non-NT maps and Garmin avoids the question whether they will update non-NT maps. Notice that here in Nov 2009, all the NT maps are updated to 2010, but non-NT are stuck at 2009.

EXCELLENT VALUE
Pros: form factor, waterproof, software. Cons: can't think of any
What an outstanding deal! You get Garmin's excellent mapping software and a fine little GPS with Bluetooth. What's not to like? And for not very much money!

Amazing, small, easy to use. Set on dash of vehicle or boat & receives great. Talks to you, giving notice of upcoming turns. Will re-direct you if you get off route or will automatically set new route from where you are to your destination. Can't say enough good about this great little GPS. Another outstanding GARMIN product!

I bought this after having an Ique and am very impressed with it. Great in cities when you don't know were anything is. Voice guidance is great. Customer support from Garmin is Top of the line. Extremely helpful and willing to work with you untill your problem is figured out. I would highly suggest this item. I use it with my Dell axim x5 and it is wonderful.

Excellent little package. I use it with my IPAQ 4705 and it works very well. Not having a cable combined with a really long battery life really makes using it easy on all trips. One suggestion is to tether the charger plug cover... its really small and easy to lose when removed.

Overall, I'd rate this unit 8/10. I would recommend a high horsepower PDA because the software is hungry on processing, graphics and memory. Unfortunately, the core program (running on my Dell X50v pda) became corrupt 2 days into my 16 day vacation and the unit became utterly useless. This was unusual seeing as the program ran stable for 6 months prior. I'm still working out the problem with Garmin.

This GPS unit is awesome. I have a Garmin GPS60C and wanted something for my PocketPC. Being a fool, I bought the CoPilot Live 6 product and was sorely disappointed. I then purchased the G10 and my faith in GPS was restored. The unit is small and has good signal. But the software package is really the star. Garmin has the best maps and software in the industry.
