GOOD LAPTOP GPS
Trialled it with my Garmin Nuvi 250 alongside and the reaction time was the same. Can't wait to try navigating in the boat.

GOOD LAPTOP GPS FOR WORK OR PLAY
Pros: works with other garmin maps
Cons: wish it had 3dmapping for navigation
Its a good product as its as easy as 123 for set up and start using. I like the fact that my other programs such as Topo Canada mapping and any of my other garmin maps work with this product. It makes entering data on waypoints and naming them easier than on a traditional gps.

WORKS PERFECTLY FOR ON THE GO....
Pros: great signal quality and accuracy
Cons: software could be more user friendly
I have had this gps for about a month now and couldn't be happier. The signal quality is great and so far I have yet to encounter any problems. The City Navigator software that comes with this gps needs work but I replaced that software with Garmin Mobile PC.

We used this system, with a laptop, and travelled from Toronto to Annapolis -boat hunting. It kept us on track even when I introduced certain driving errors en route. the driving directions were current and accurate within meters.

I LOVE this device. The "hockey puck" receiver comes with a magmount on the bottom so you can just open the window and stick it on the roof. The included software is excellent. Extremely easy to use without reading the manual. GPS readouts also include elevation, direction of travel, speed, etc. The receiver usually picks up many satellites, and gives about 8ft. resolution. Very easy to set up routes to your destination, find the nearest anything, the software quickly recalculates if you do something different. Very impressive. Good stuff.

I purchased this product for my motor home. I also have two other more expensive GPS units and this unit out performed them all. The off-route recalculate mode is instant and the voice commands are clear and accurate. I highly recommend this unit if you have room for a laptop.
