Garmin GPS 72 76 Marine Mount Description What makes this a 76 series 'Marine' Mount you ask!!
Well, it is designed to be used as a permanent mount. There are 3 holes in the bottom of the round base so you can bolt this mount down. As is the case with most GPS Marine Mounts, they are designed to be placed and forgotten.
If your would rather a mount that is a little less permanent but still has a strong hold, you may want to look at the 76 series Auto Mount. This mount clips in and out of its base allowing you to have some extra base mounts in extra vehicles.
Both mounts are easy to use. Simply clip your unit into the mounting frame, slide across the lock and GO!! Your unit is mounted stable and ready.
ACCESSORIES: This is the Non-Skid Friction Marine mount with a dash mount base attached. This mount is bundles with Auto Mount converters for the base of the suction and marine mounts. Simply unscrew the bottom 'leg' of your existing mount, attach the correct Auto Mount base, and then clip it into the friction mount base.
