| Garmin GPSMAP 4212 Network Bundle Description |
This is a bundle of the GPSMAP 4212 Marine Network Chartplotter, GDL30A XM Receiver, and the GSD 22 Remote Sonar.
This preloaded, offshore chartplotter combines the power of networking with brilliant color and slim-line design. The GPSMAP 4212 has preloaded BlueChart g2 maps of the U.S. coast and displays them on a whopping 12.1 XGA display with crisp, video-quality resolution. By connecting to the Garmin Marine Network, you can add sonar, radar and weather. For even more enhanced features, you can add the optional Bluechart g2 Vision card.
View Detailed Graphics and Video
The 4212 features highly-detailed BlueChart g2 marine cartography of the coastal United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas. This data provides detailed coastlines, shaded depth contours, navaids, port plans, wrecks, restricted areas and tide and current information. For other areas, the 4212 has a worldwide basemap with high-quality satellite images in place of more traditional maps. With the SD card slot, you can add additional maps without having to connect to a computer.
The 4212's high-speed processor draws maps quickly, and its simple intuitive interface makes navigating easy. To keep tabs on your engine room or other area of your boat, you can also connect a live video feed with the 4212's video input and output options.
Add Extras with BlueChart g2 Vision
With the optional BlueChart g2 Vision SD card, you can add a whole new dimension of exceptional features to your chartplotter.
- 3D mariner's eye view or fish eye view provides you with a 3-dimensional perspective of map information, both above the waterline and below it.
- High-resolution satellite images and aerial photographs help you orient yourself in unfamiliar areas.
- Auto guidance technology searches through all relevant charts to create a route you can actually follow - one that avoids obstacles, shallow water, buoys and other obstructions.
Connect to the Garmin Marine Network
The 4212 connects easily to the high-speed Garmin Marine Network, so you can interface with additional MFDs and add remote sensors. Once connected, you can share information between the 4212 and other chartplotters on your boat. You can also add high-powered radar, sonar and XM satellite weather and radio to your system.
GDL 30A
With the addition of the GDL 30 (Weather Satellite Receiver) or GDL 30A (Weather and XM Audio Satellite Receiver) and a partnership with XM WX Satellite Weather, Garmin is proud to bring real-time graphical weather data coverage of the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii) directly to Garmin marine chartplotters.
For the first time, mariners can access real-time weather information for the United States directly on the GPSMAP 3010C and 3006C using the GDL 30 or GDL 30A - no need for a separate PC interface. The Garmin GDL 30 and GDL 30A black box receivers are completely waterproof and part of the new Garmin Marine Network, a plug-and-play system that puts GPS, weather, sonar, radar and other important data literally at a boater's fingertips.
United States weather information captured and processed by the GDL 30 and GDL 30A with the GA 31 pole-mount antenna is directly overlaid onto the GPSMAP 3010C and 3006C multifunction, color displays. Users can overlay individual or combined weather data screens, so they can see weather conditions at their current location or along a projected path. The GDL 30 and GSL 30A with the XM WX Satellite Weather service work to keep boaters continually informed of changing weather patterns, so they can make better-informed decisions and spend more time enjoying the water.
GSD 22
Add depth to your chartplotter view with the GSD 20 series remote sounders. The GSD 21, a powerful analog sonar, along with the GSD 22, Garmin's first digital sonar, are robust units designed to operate with stand-alone chartplotters or integrate with the Garmin CANet and Marine Networks.
The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that plugs directly into the Garmin Marine Network for use with our network chartplotters or into the new Garmin CANet for use with the 292/392/492 series chartplotters. Ultrascroll technology keeps the display scrolling at live-action speeds, while the unit's digital design and up to 2 kW of transmit power (depending on transducer used) provide extraordinary target definition and deep water performance. Transmit power and receiver gain automatically adjust to produce excellent shallow water performance as well. The GSD 22 is dual frequency (200/50 kHz) and works with everything from a standard 500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW thru-hull or in-hull transducers. Reaches depths to 5,000 feet.
Note: The GSD 22 does not include a transducer. The compatible transducers are listed below as accessories.
