GARMIN GTU 10 REVIEW
Pros: i love gps'es and what they do
Cons: they could be cheaper
This actually works better than I expected. When I put my dog out in the morning and at night it is dark out. He has about an acre to run. Most of the time he stays in his territory, but every now and then he takes off on an adventure and I have no idea where he is at. So, now I sit in the warm house and watch him on the computer. The map on the computer shows the landmarks in the neighborhood, now I can see exactly where he is. When I click Locate on the computer screen, sometimes it takes 30 seconds for it to locate, but that is the way it is. If you want it set up a boundary and send you emails, it is pretty self-explanatory. However, if you want to set it up like I did, don't set up the fence and email alerts and then just hit Location button every 30 seconds. It will show you exactly where he is. It's fun to watch him from the computer in the warmth of my house.

I have not activated it as of yet. This was purchased as a thief recover tool for my High $ ATV. The riding season has ended I did initially connect this to my PC without success. I know I need to contact Garmin for help in getting it operational.
I had a very similar device installed in a vehicle of a family member with memory issues. The item worked wonderfully, I expect this unit will be just as helpful (the previous company went bankrupt).
This was my second or third purchase from GPS City, it won’t be my last.

EFFECTIVE & ECONOMICAL LIVE TRACKING
Pros: would like to see a higher capacity battery
Cons: none really.
I'm a long-time user of Garmin products due to (my opinion) their high quality. The GTU 10 is no exception. It's simple and easy to use if you read the instructions regarding its capabilities AND limitations and use a bit of commonsense.
A past customer of GPSCITY, I had no qualms ordering from them in this instance. The first unit they sent me appeared to be factory new however when I went to register it, I found it already registered - obviously a return. One call to GPSCITY was it took to have a new, sealed unit sent along with a pre-paid return envelope. This was an inconvenience to me as the delay adversely affected the very job for which I needed the unit. Still, GPSCITY did their best to correct the mistake.
Recommend? YES

GARMIN GTU 10
Pros: good in coverage area
I am on the outer edge of ATT cell phone coverage and the GTU 10 is dependent on this cell service which rendered the unit to be undependable where I live. I returned unit.
Recommend? NO
