GARMIN METROGUIDE CANADA (FOR 60CS HANDHELD UNIT)
Pros: none. Cons: waste of money, time, gas for having to re-route.
FAIL. Many locations in and around Edmonton missing, 30 year old Can. Tire location in Sher. Park DOES NOT show on map, personal bank wrongly shown on map has moved locations 15 years ago, many other casually referenced locations are just plain wrong, missing, or have since moved but software shows opposite. Same for outlying communities. 5 year old portions of A. Henday Drive do not even show up. Several towns in S. Alberta have disbanded and moved several decades ago but are still indicated on the software. Many roads between Lloydm. and Medicine Hat and on roads going both sides of border into Sask. also have stopped existing decades ago and are empty fields or dead ends, not large roadways as falsely indicated. There are so many false returns and non-locations I wrote to Garmin/Mapsource about it and got the brushoff. Whoever supplies them map data has ripped us all off, and I suspect there is nothing recent or valid west of the Que. headquarters.
I could find far more recent information if I photocopied maps from the local archives at the museum from the early 60's, which I suspect is the source they used to metadata into their software.
FAIL FAIL FAIL. Avoid this software and spend it on any else, you will get better return for your money on booze over this useless, unwarranted product. It fails for personal OR light courier work in every aspect. By any means DO NOT use this software if your personal driving safety is of any concern, as you will likely wind up using a 'scenic route' that can get you lost, stuck, and/or DEAD. Have not used it east of Man. or west of interior BC so there might be SOME useful data beyond this test range.

NEW BRUNSWICK HIWAY 1 US BORDER - ST. ANDREWS EXIT
I just updated my Nuvi map but still no correction on Highway 1 in NB. Unfortunately a Nova Scotia women lost her life because the GPS directed her husband to the old route and he missed a stop sign resulting in a deadly collision. It is time for an update.

DISAPPOINTED
Pros: the gps interface is very good. Cons: data needs to be updated.
The Icons for features on the map are too large! They cover one another. There are still many errors in the map. I like my MetroGuide Canada v4 much better. Have used MGC & my Garmin 76S GPS for 4 years on road trips accross Canada (twice) and for about 60 hikes. Works well.

DISAPPOINTING
Many newer businesses, streets we established in Canada since the last Metro guide version. The write up on this guide stated that it was up to date to Oct/Nov 08. Many businesses and streets in Alberta were started prior to this version and still they are not on it??? Same as the new Topo Canada Version many streets are issing and even some still active were removed.

MARITIMES NOT UPDATED SINCE V4
Pros: wait for v6 Cons: errors in v4 not corrected. nb hwgy 1 not updated
I live in Massachusetts and frequently travel the maritimes New Brunswick & Nova Scotia. Having owned the Garmin MetroGuide v4 since its release in 2003, I have been eagerly awaiting an update that corrects some of the omissions for Highway 1 between St. Stephen NB and Saint John NB. Specifically, at Lepreau, NB, Highway 1 is not where Garmin MetroGuide says it should be for several miles. My GPS (GPS V and GPSMap 376C) makes several attempts to recalculate a route before giving up with an unrecoverable route error. Additionally, a new 4 lane section of Highway 1 has opened last year between St. Stephen and Saint Andrews replacing the coastal road. I was encouraged to see the Highway 1 error at Lepreau corrected in the City Navigator North America NT 2009. After waiting over 4 years for Garmin to update this from v4, I am disappointed to report that none of the above v4 omissions have been corrected. I cannot speak to Garmin MetroGuide Canada v5.0 improvements in areas that I do not travel. But, for the areas in which I travel: between St. Stephen and Saint John NB and SW Nova Scotia, few updates/corrections have been added since v4. For me, Garmin MetroGuide Canada v5.0 is a disappointment and not worth $90. I would return this for a refund, if I could.

INCREASED STREET DETAIL
For Canadian's or at least Ontarian's, this product is top shelf. My company is currently using five GPSmap 276C and we run the new MetroGuide Canada v5.0 - we have had no problems. I find the street detail and landmark detail such as rivers and streams much better than the City Navigator software for Canada.

WORTHWHILE SUPPLEMENT TO CITY NAVIGATOR NT
Pros: provides coverage missing from city navigator nt Cons: rather expensive
MetroGuide Canada v5.0 is a useful addition to the City Navigator North America NT 2009 map that came with my nuvi 750. It has street names and POI outside of major metropolitan areas that are absent from City Navigator NT. While the POI database is not as complete or up-to-date as I would have liked,it still is helpful when travelling in rural areas.

MANY MISTAKES FOR ATLANTIC CANADA
Pros: fixed some of the preloaded maps errors. Cons: wrong directions
First off it has long load times. POI's are out of date. Missing roads that have been there for 50 years at least.

GOOD STREET MAPPING
I had an earlier version of this product and am very pleased to see most of the newer roads and streets are included on this CD. The POI's lack some of the locations that are included in city navigator.I am pleased overall with this product.
