CHECK THE COVERAGE AREA CAREFULLY!
Pros: good details for areas covered Cons: no information, tides or currents for mexico
These charts do a good job, when you are in the coverage area. I assumed (my mistake) that Baja Mexico and the Sea of Cortez were part of North America. If you are cruising in the Sea, or anywhere off the Mexico coast, these maps will do you no good.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
Pros: seamless integration with topo maps Cons: cost, locked to card, limited fine detail
Card just arrived yesterday for use in Oregon 450. I boat-camp the Washington San Juans and wanted to add charts to my new O450 to supplement island hopping, primarily to flag hazards to navigation. I generally know the lay of the islands and use an old diner placemat for reference. "Let's see, we go north to the happy seagull and turn left and look for a big clam..."
Anyway, the Garmin card threw me for few minutes as the micro-SD card (that the Oregon 450 uses) came tucked into the SD adapter, not the separate little storage area in the plastic storage case. After I found it, the micro-SD card popped into the Oregon just fine and the maps were available on starting the GPS. The display mesh between marine and topo is seamless. The level of marine detail is good for navigating into a harbor. I zoomed into places I am familiar with and details seem to be a little skimpier than traditional charts. This may just be a function of my inexperience with the Oregon, though.
The other small detail to note is that Garmin uses Sandisk as the card supplier. This unit uses a 4GB mSD card, which happens to match the Oregon 450's on-board storage. I'm not hooked up to the laptop running MapSource, so I can't check how much space is available for bonus material.
