GOOD PROTECTION
Pros: protects screen, inexpensive
The Garmin screen protector is low cost insurance. I scratched the face of my eTrex shortly after I got it. I didn't want the same thing happening to my Montana. This is relatively easy to install-just takes patience. Fits right and I did not notice any degradation of image quality. I do like the anti-glare properties.

CHEAP INSURANCE
Pros: cuts down of screen glare, protects screen
There are 3 screen protectors in the package and I use them all in the installation until I got the last one without any small speck of dust or whatever under the protector. No matter how well I cleaned the screen and used compressed air to blow off the screen before I always seemed to get something under the protector. But this is pretty much the case with any screen protector you put on any device.
All that being said they do work well to protect the screen from scratches and really cut down on glare. They cover the entire screen completely which makes them hard to remove as there isn't much of a edge where you can lift off the protector for whatever reason. Be very careful to not use anything metal to lift the edge to remove the protectors because you will damage the screen and a plastic or wood toothpick works well for this. The protector comes off without leaving any residue to clean up.
I will probably buy another set to have on hand to change when I feel the old ones need changing. Touch screens on any device are more prone to scratches from dirt on the fingers or dirt laying on the screen. They are reasonably priced and so cheap insurance for your new Garmin Montana. Made by Garmin for Garmin so you can't go wrong here. IMHO

Pros: easy to apply. seems tough/rugged so far
Garmin provides several screen protectors in the package. I screwed up the first one but the second went on easily. There is one tiny air bubble. Adhesion has been excellent and I use the Montana for snowmobiling. I did find glare reduced and brightness/readability reduced a bit but nothing I am concerned with. I used an 'aftermarket' protector with my Oregon that required spraying down the screen with a liquid solution provided and felt that one was MUCH more difficult to get right. Ended up taking it off as the poor visibility or the Oregon screen needed all the help it could get.

ANTI GLARE
Pros: no glare
Cons: needs a cleaning kit for the application
you must be extremly fussy to clean the screen or dirt/dust will effect the adhesion

Pros: a sense of relieve that your screen is protected
Cons: difficult to apply
As with all anti-glare/screen protectors, they are difficult to apply without getting that dustball caught underneath but they are well worth it. I am probably going to try to get someone who really knows the trick behind applying those screen protectors so that it doesn't have the dustball caught underneath or bubbles. Also getting it to line up straight is very challenging. Still a good product.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Pros: it's all good
Great product. Highly recommended. I purchased this product to protect the screen on my Montana GPS since I use it mainly for ATV'ing and it gets a lot of dust and mud on the touch screen. After gouging the screen on my previous GPS I looked at some type of protection and these protectors do the trick. I also cut these protectors to size for use on my digital camera screen (Panasonic TS3) when it's in the mud/water/dust.
