20+ YEAR GPS USER
Pros: easy to use
Cons: none
Voice is clear Suction cup stays on glass even over washboard roads and while rock crawling. On vinyl and plastic dash surface it will not stay long, But better than all previous suction cups I have used.

TOP QUALITY
Pros: solid, high quality

STURDY MOUNT FOR MONTANA, SPEAKER WORKS WELL
Pros: high quality, good design
Cons: no dash disc included
This mount works as advertised. The quality is very good, as are all Garmin mounts. The speaker is plenty loud enough to clearly hear all prompts at freeway speeds. The mount is sturdy and keeps the Montana in place well. I already had a dashboard disc installed in my vehicle, you may consider getting one as the disc is not included with this mount. You could attach this mount to the windshield, but in my vehicle it would make it a stretch. Definitely recommend this mount for the Montana. Now I leave my Nuvi at home. I have a fully functional street navigator (CN maps installed) and the unit charges up while enroute to hiking trails or geocache spots.

FIT AS IF PART OF THE UNIT.
Pros: solid mounting
Cons: material feels fragile.
The montana 650 fits perfectly to this mounting as if it is part of the GPS receiver. Attaching and detaching is quick. Suction mount to the windshield work as advertized.

BE CAREFUL TO PAIR MONTANA 650
Pros: good voice, clean and lound.
Cons: play tricks on you!
Recent bought it with Montana 650, for whatever reason, it sometimes doesn't start the gps unit when turning on the car key, if you turn on the gps unit while it's attached to the car kit, you get a blank screen or prompt you to delete all data. I lost two full days of jungle tracking data! That's 13 kilometer of hard work!!!

The length of the power cord is sufficient, my Montana 650 fits in the cradle snugly and secure, the suction mechanism is OK, the integrated audio worked with "Bitchen Betty".
Item recieved from GPS in perfect condition, no scrapes or scars.

WORKS GREAT - MAKES MONTANA EVEN MORE USEFUL

Cons: a little pricey
Bought the Montana primarily for my ATV, but this makes it even more useful by mounting it in the F250 which goes offroad a lot. Solid mount, works as advertised.

FITS WELL, SOUNDS GOOD!

Cons: none.
I bought this to use my Montana in my car and it works very well. The Montana is easy to place in the mount and secure enough if it's used on a car dashboard.
The built-in speaker is loud enough, and the volume control is accessible through a push of the power button in the gps.
This is not a rugged mount, though, so don't try to use it on a motorcycle or atv. Buy Garmin's Rugged Mount instead.

This mount made the use for the Garmin Montana 600 really easy both for use for Geocaching and use in My car. Arter some adjustments it automaticly switch between car and Geocaching when i put in the mount. I can recomend this for every active person.

SMALL BUT STURDY

Cons: a self adhesive plate for the dash would have been
Easy fixing to the window with the one push lever.
Not too big.
Auto switching is a boon between Automotive and Geocaching.
Quick release of the Montanta when you want to get Geocaching. Love it.

MONTANA SUCTION MOUNT
This mount is a must for any Montana owner. The holder charges the unit on the go, so the batteries are on top when searching for a geocache or heading for the trail. The mount is also perfect for car or truck use regardless of what type of map you use. The speaker inside the mount gives you turn by turn navigation with the proper maps. I know there are other mounts as well, but I wanted a proper windshield mount.

I love my garmin Montana 650T for the trails, and wanted it to be my one and only GPS unit. After purchasing this suction mount, the nuvi can stay at home. The mount holds to the windshied very well, and it is very nice that the cord attaches to the mount rather than the unit. Popping the unit off for data entry is very simple without untangling the power cord that I usually wrap arounf the mirror to keep it out of my way. The volume is set perfect for me, so the fact that there is no volume adjustment is not a drawback for me. The speaker is very clear. I love this mount, and love the features of the montana using city navigator. I am a very satisfied customer.

GREAT MOUNT
Works very well and I'm extremely happy with it. It's a big bonus having the power cord fixed into the suction mount, so all one has to do is push the Montana into the holder. I've attached a base plate to the top of the dashboard, and the suction cup is mounted on to the baseplate. It's much easier to work with than having the Montana fixed to the windscreen. I suggest that Garmin considers providing a baseplate as part of the package.

Great mount, but Garmin needs to add a volume control, either to the mount, or to the Montana. I found the spoken directions too quiet if I had the car radio on.

Works very well. Fits nice and snug. Allows you to hear the Montana 650. It took me awhile to find the voulme control. The volume control is internal to the 650, but does not appear unless the unit is attached to the auto mount or a set of earphones.

MONTANA MOUNT
Cons: it has fallen off twice in hot humid conditions
Very effective. I have used generic designed windshield mounts in the past and never had any complaints. My wife bought me the "proper" mount as a gift and now I know what I was missing! Good design, good speaker clarity, and easy on and off mounting.

GREAT MOUNT - VOLUME CONTROL INFORMATION
Pros: light, durable, relatively inexpensive
Cons: wish i could buy the mount without suction adaptor
This is a very useful mount and power cable. Easy to clip the gps into, and the suction part works well as long as the windshield is clean when you install the mount.
But for those people who are complaining about a lack of volume control with this system, do this:
- When your Montana is plugged into the mount, push the power button on the Montana and in the Brightness Adjustment screen which pops up you'll also find a Volume Adjustment option.
This option only shows up if you have the gps plugged into a powered/audio capable mount, or if you have earphone/earbuds plugged into the audio output connector on the gps.

A MUST HAVE TO USE THE MONTANA IN THE CAR
Cons: no volume adjust
I bought the Montana because I wanted a handheld GPS which could double as an auto GPS. I assume having a speaker in the unit would make it heavier (and it is heavy enough as a hand held), and this is the only option. I rely on voice notifications, so I consider this a must have. It works great, though I wish it had a volume button.
