THE GARMIN NUVI 265T
Pros: sound great Cons: it is off 300 feet
I like the gps, but I hate the ads that keep coming on the screen. I did not pay for ads, just the gps. the only way I turn it off, is keeping the traffic off.

VERY GOOD BASIC UNIT
Pros: small, easy to carry, good bargain Cons: pay for traffic info service?
I bought this for my motorcycle with the RAM mount. Took it to my motorcycle trip to California. Worked great. Bluetooth works well in a car. Traffic info doesn't seem to work. I was stuck in traffic and the unit displayed green for 'go'. Maybe because I didn't pay for the service? Unit says that purchase price includes 1 year service though. Very happy with it. Better than Nuvi 650 that I have, which BTW, is now died on me. If you are buying for a car, I'd get the wide screen version for a just a bit more money.

UNRELIABLE
Pros: works well when it works Cons: frequently won't respond way too unreliable
I had one that, within a few days of getting it, all of a sudden wouldn't respond to any touch screen command. Was 500 miles away from home in unfamiliar area. Garmin tech support said I had to "reboot" it, which worked but lost all saved destination points. Updating the software didn't work, and it kept doing the same thing. I returned it and got a new one - same result within a few days. It worked great when it was responding, but it way too often froze up and wouldn't respond to anything. Software updates didn't help. It is neither safe nor convenient to keep having to reboot it when you're driving and can't save the destination points to a computer before rebooting. Bluetooth worked better for me than I had read from others' experience with that aspect.

VERY SATISFIED WITH THE NUVI 265T
Pros: cheap, easy to use, good gps, good map Cons: data base to be improved
This GPS unit is very simple to use. It offers a lot of features for such a low price. The display is good for most use. The map included with the unit is relatively acurate but the data base could be improved (hotels, restaurants, etc.).

GOOD AUTOMOTIVE GPS
Pros: bluetooth and traffic options Cons: limited traffic coverage areas.
This is the 3rd Garmin product that I have owned. I had my first one installed into my vehicle, so I have been limited since then in terms of changing makes or even width of device because of the installation.
I find it user friendly and like the new featuresbluetooth and traffic.
Problemsthe menu for bluetooth is inconsistentsometimes it shows the phone book, sometimes it doesn't. The traffic feature appears to be quite good but doesn't cover enough areas for me.

WILL NEVER OWN A GARMIN!!!!!
I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER own a Garmin unless they force it on me. I went through (3) other defective Garmin 265T units purchase from a different source before I purchased (2) here as gifts. Well, one of them just stopped working, just went balck in the middle of being used. The other well I won't be going on any long trips with it. Save your money buy a Rand-McNally map, at least it turns on!!

NüVI 265
Pros: simple and intuitive to use. learning is quick
A fairly good GPS. However the data base is sometimes inaccurate. We were directed a couple of time to Motels which turned out to be a few miles away. 8 out of ten of Bed & Breakfast listed have gone out of business. The screen does not indicate the city or county you are in which would be convenient. Quite usefull for our 12 000 miles tour of the States.

NO ONE CAN TELL ME TO GET LOST AGAIN.
Love it. Best Bday present ever. Good laugh at the yankee accent, the way some of the towns are pronounced. But changed it to the British voice. Feels like home.
