CONVERSION TO GARMIN
Pros: screen Cons: number of keystrokes returning form tools function
I have had 2 Lowrance units and found their layout initially far more user friendly and far fewer key stokes to navigate the functions. However, the hardware portions of the units was not very reliable. The updated Garmin unit is nice to use even if it does not appear as accurate for elevation or speed. It's great plus is the screen is easy to see even with polarized sunglasses

BEST GARMIN GPS EVER
Pros: easy navigation, quick signal pick up, 5/5 screen Cons: the screen is too attractive that may distract you
Used for about a month and 100% satisfied with it. The clear and bright screen and smooth navigation is not seen in any other old generation of Garmin products. I will never use any other old GPS after I use this.

NOT BAD
Pros: thin, hi-res, bright Cons: poor route selection, bad for hiking
Typically solid GPS from Garmin. Works just as you'd expect, finds satellites quickly, map file mostly complete.
However, I need it for country backroads, which the navigation software ignores. If I didn't look ahead at the route chosen, I'd be going many extra kilometers to get to my destination. And the "learning" feature doesn't seem to learn the way I'd prefer to go.
Oh well, it's a machine.
I tried it hiking, at the same time as a GPS60, and the Nuvi lost connection as soon as there was any tree cover. The GPS60 was flawless. Leave the Nuvi in the car.
If you are in a completely new area, and are dependant on the GPS to get you around, be wary. Otherwise, this is a great little unit. But that goes for any GPS.

GREAT GPS THAT IS AFFORABLE
Purchased this model over the 1390 since the price was worth the difference in size of the unit, quality of the screen and potential upgrades. The traffic feature would be nice, but I was not too concerned about not having that extra feature.

NICE UNIT
Pros: size Cons: is a bit more fragile than other models
Have had this for approx 3 months and it works great. I do not see that it boots up or locates me any faster than less expensive models however. I cracked the glass front and Garmin wanted $150 to repair. Unit still working fine however as-is.

GREAT AUTOMOTIVE GPS
Pros: small, very very clear pic, touch screen Cons: finger prints hahahaha
This was a great buy, just got back from Florida and used it down there to get around. Really like the detail when changeing highways/lanes. Gives you lots of warning and a Pic of the upcomimg road sign. I already have a Garmin 60s and both worked great but are very different. DO NOT waste your time with other name brands, I have seen them in action and they do not compare!

GARMIN GPS'S & RAM MOUNTS
Pros: the best imho Cons: not really
In my experence, I have found that Garmin GPS's are the best there are. I have owned Lowrance and TomTom and still come back to Garmin. Enough said. This particular model, the 3750, I find very good. The screen is excellent and the unit is very slim. It will easily fit in a shirt pocket. Excellent for walking in strange cities or hiking with topo maps. Try that with some others. As a basic GPS, this is one of the best. I have owned Garmin GPS's for years. My first one was the monochrome GPS III model which I still have and use.
Insofar as RAM mounts are concerned, what can I say. To my mind they are the best. I have used RAM mounts on sport bikes, road bikes and off road vehicules with Garmin GPS's with no problem whatsoever. My only suggestion is to use the Short Arm Socket to attach the GPS mount to your vehicule if used off road or on crappy roads like we have here in Quebec (because of vibration).

2ND IMPRESSION (NICE UNIT BUT WITH SOME GLITCHES).
Pros: size, display resolution and readability Cons: occasional lock-ups and missing map images
Small, fast power-ups and satellite acquisition. Very sharp display and easily read in any light conditions. Over-all, a very good unit except for a few bugs (hopefully will be fixed with a future software update). Unit will occasionally lock-up (corrects itself in a few seconds/minute) and would also occasionally not redraw all of the map on the display (again, corrects itself after a while or if you initiate a change, example.... zoom or select a different screen). You could get by with a cheaper unit with similar features but the resolution, size and readability in various light conditions is worth the higher price.

1ST IMPRESSION
Pros: performance, image detail, ease of use Cons: touch screen response.... (sometimes)
Small and light compared to my Nuvi 750. A bit difficult to handle when not in its mount due of its small size. Easy to navigate thru the menus but a some learning curves because of slight differences compared to the 750. Very fast satellite acquisition and improved accuracy. The touch screen can be a bit finicky sometimes (button would highlight but no acknowledgment from the unit). I haven't used it on a long trip to date but will be testing it on a trip to Florida in the near future (will update its performance when I return). Micros cable is a bit on the short side but can be replaced for a few dollars. So far, I give it thumbs UP!!!!!
