GOOD GPS

Pros: nice poi
Cons: sometimes search feature is slow

Having recently moved to L.A., I figured having a GPS is a must since I do not know the roads at all. For the price, I was deciding between an older model with more features, or the the recently released Nuvi 40. I ended up purchasing this model, and I am very satisfied with it. It has been a life-saver! I would estimate the GPS is accurate 95% of the time in L.A. The instances where the GPS was inaccurate usually involved freeways. One example is the GPS would tell you to stay right when the freeway splits up. But sometimes the freeway splits again immediately after, and the GPS doesn't give you a heads up what to do. Another example would be the lane assist would show 6 lanes, when there are actually only 3. A final example would be the ramp to the freeway is actually straight ahead, but the GPS tells you to turn left onto the freeway. But these are minor things, and common sense/being aware of your surroundings would make up for these shortcomings. Overall I am happy with it, and would purchase it again.
