The GARMIN GPS 16 delivers exceptional accuracy while standing up to the harshest environment. This surface mounted GPS sensor has an integrated antenna housed in a rugged, waterproof design. The 12-channel receiver allows for continuous tracking of all visible satellites.
It's WAAS capable, which means it can provide position accuracy of less than 3 meters on average. This incredible accuracy is possible without the use of an external DGPS beacon receiver. The GPS 16 also offers excellent EMI/RFI performance for easy integration into systems that will be operated near mobile computing devices and wireless communications equipment.
The cable on the GPS16A uses a white PTFE (Teflon) jacketing material is designed to withstand the chemical environment common to agricultural machinery environments. The cable is 5 meters in length and contains 5 color-coded 22 AWG wires that are terminated as bare wire ends.
