ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES
When the adhesive gave out on my dash mount I tried a variety of different adhesives. This one works the best and looks the best.

WASTE OF MONEY
Pros: low cost before shipping
Cons: no instructions, didn't last a minute, shipping
The disk came in an envelope with no instructions. I thoroughly cleaned the area I intended to apply the disk to, following up with an alcohol pad. I applied the disk and allowed it to sit for a couple of hours to cure to the windshield, before removing the film from the other side and attempting to mount my GPS. As soon as there was an weight on the adhesive disk it began peeling away from the windshield. So much for "permanent" it didn't last a minute. I could not try again as it became wrinkled and bent when it peeled. I won't order another, the shipping was twice the cost of the disk.

EXCELLENT ADHESIVE DISK
Pros: excellent adhesion but still is possible to remove
Cons: none
These adhesive disks really hold my heavy Zumo to the dash in both hot and cold conditions. And while it says it is permanent, if you have enough patience you can remove it without damaging your dash.

STICKS GOOD BUT WILL NOT TOLLERATE HEAT
Pros: very sticky
Cons: can't stand the heat
I use these 2 sided tapes to mount my Nuvi on the dash of my motorcycle. Unfortunatly they don't do well on a 95+ degree day and the Nuvi fell off and onto the street. Jus then a car ran over the unit. Bracket was ok, but had to replace the Nuvi.

BUYER BEWARE
Pros: very good adhesive
Cons: why oval? should be round.
I bought this adhesive disk to put on the round mounting surface of my Ram Mount. It's not round at all as the picture shows, it's oval. After putting it on the round mount I had to trim up the sides which means that the disk does not fully cover the bottom of the Ram Mount base. So what does this oval disk really fit - beats me!! I have a lot of Garmin products and all of them have a round base!!

NICE TO HAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
This is not so much a rating as a comment that the permanent adhesive disk did not come with directions for installation. I am guessing it requires wetting of the glue and pressure. But, how much wetting and how much pressure is anyone's guess. Clean the dash before using? I'd imagine so, but with what type of cleanser. Let the glue set? I'd guess so, but for how long? I googled to try to find the instructions. No luck. Silly to not include instructions.

They work great, but they're not exactly permanent. After about two years it popped right off. Probably had something to do with the desert heat around here. YMMV.
