Manufacturer Description |
The MapSource Points of Interest CD-ROM provides information for more than 1 million business listings in the U.S. and Canada, including food and drink, lodging, shopping and entertainment, marinas (U.S. only), banks, golf courses and many more. The information for each business includes address, phone number and description of the service.
The CD also includes,
- cities worldwide (displayed as points),
- U.S. interstate exit information including service stations, restaurants & hotels,
- Marine navaids including lights, buoys, wrecks and obstructions (U.S. only) &
- Geographic points of interest including summits, islands, bridges and towers.
As will all of the mapSource Software, this CD includes trip and waypoint management functions that allow you to transfer waypoints, routes, and tracks between your PC and nearly all GARMIN GPS units.

The trip and waypoint management functions of this product work with nearly all GARMIN GPS units, excluding the GPS100 family and panel mount aviation units.
MAIN FUNCTION: This CD has been manufactured for the new units containing 1MB of internal memory (GPS 76, eTrex Venture and GPS 152), and as a cheaper CD for trip and waypoint transfer for all of the compatible Garmin units.
