The bare wire cable lets you connect the your unit to direct power, and the 2.5mm audio jack lets you hear all of the GPS voice commands.
**THIRD PARTY MOUNTING SOLUTION: The Garmin Motorcycle Cradle Kit DOES NOT include a mounting device. You will need to connect this mount to a third party mount that is compatible with the industry standard AMPS hole pattern.
